On March 20-21, in Telavi in the conference hall of hotel “Rcheuli Marani” training “Promoting Gender Equality in Employment” held.

Two-days training were held by human rights organization “Article 42 of the Constitution” in cooperation with “Georgian Trade Unions Confederation”.

Training was held in the framework of the project “ Promoting Gender Equality in Employment”. 30 employers were taking part in the event.

The main topic of the trainings is promoting gender equality and women’s economic empowerment in Georgia.

Article 42 of the Constitution initiated the project “Promoting Gender Equality in Employment” ‘on 11 March 2014. The organization implements the mentioned project with the generous support of USAID along with four partner organizations: Georgian Trade Unions Confederation, Tbilisi State University Centre for Social Studies, New Media Advocacy (N-MAP), JumpStart Georgia.

To achieve project goals the organization will conduct trainings for employers, employees and youth in Tbilisi and 10 regions of Georgia.
