In the framework of the USAID funded project “Promoting Gender Equality in Employment” the organization “Article 42 of the Constitution” applied to the Public Defender of Georgia (PDO). The Public Defender has recommended to the LTD “Elit-Service” to refrain from publishing discriminatory employment advertisements.
LTD “Elit-Service” has published a vacancy on www.myjobs.ge which included discriminatory wording related to sex, age and family status. The PDO held that LTD “Elit-Service” has committed direct discrimination based on sex, age and family status.
